Semanggi I toll gate to change the rules

JAKARTA: Starting on Thursday, the City Transportation Agency
will impose a new regulation at the entrance to the Semanggi toll
road in a bid to relieve the heavy traffic congestion in the
area.

Motorists traveling south on Jl. Sudirman (from Hotel
Indonesia or Monas for example) will not be allowed to enter the
Semanggi I toll gate, which is located near Crown Plaza, on Jl.
Gatot Subroto, if they want to head toward Cawang or Halim.

Head of the City Transportation Agency Rustam Effendy said in
a statement that the motorists should go through the Semanggi II
toll gate, which is located near the Kartika Chandra Hotel and
Planet Hollywood.

Workers will place separators along the road so that the
southbound motorists on Jl. Sudirman could not enter the Semanggi
I toll gate.
