Seluma Regency Receives Rp35.5 Billion from Central Government
Seluma Regency, Bengkulu Province (ANTARA) – The Seluma Regency Government has received Rp35.5 billion through the Regional Roads Presidential Instruction (IJD) programme to build three road sections with hot-mix asphalt surfaces.
“Our efforts to secure the IJD programme have paid off. Seluma has received Rp35.5 billion to upgrade three road sections, and the projects are currently being tendered by the National Road Development Centre (BPJN),” Seluma Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency head Muhammad Saipullah said in Seluma on Monday.
The three sections are Padang Serai–Pasar Ngalam, Mpa Tawang Rejo–Sarimulyo, and Cahaya Negeri–Tawang Rejo.
He said all three projects were in the tendering process and, if there were no obstacles, construction could begin in November 2026.
The Tawang Rejo–Sarimulyo section is 560 metres long, with a budget of Rp2.6 billion, while the Cahaya Negeri–Tawang Rejo section is 1.8 kilometres long, with a budget of Rp6.3 billion.
Saipullah explained that the roads would be built directly by the BPJN work unit, while Seluma Regency would receive the completed projects in line with the proposals it had submitted.
“Construction of roads in the four Ulu Seluma areas will begin in 2027. The first to be built will be the road leading to Lubuk Resam village. Work on the other areas of Ulu Seluma will continue the following year,” he said.
