Selling Hard Drugs During Takbiran Night, Couple in Bogor Arrested by Police

Police arrested a husband and wife in the Cileungsi Kidul area, Cileungsi Subdistrict, Bogor, West Java. They were apprehended for allegedly selling Schedule G drug tramadol without permission.

“The arrest stemmed from a community report expressing concern over the illegal drug sales activity in a densely populated neighbourhood,” said Cileungsi Police Chief Kompol Edison on Saturday (21/3/2026).

The incident occurred in the early hours of that day. Residents, along with local authorities, raided the location and secured the couple.

“Police who arrived at the scene immediately detained both individuals along with a buyer caught red-handed during the transaction,” he explained.

Several pieces of evidence were seized during the raid. Among them were the remaining tramadol drugs from the sales, a mobile phone, and one motorcycle unit.

“We express our thanks to the residents of Cileungsi Kidul for their cooperation and courage in reporting this illegal activity,” he stated.

Currently, the couple has been transferred to the Bogor Police Narcotics Subdirectorate for further investigation and handling.
