Selection of Merah Putih Cooperative Employees Uses CPNS Test System

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The National Civil Service Agency (BKN) has begun the employee selection process for the Merah Putih Cooperative yesterday, Sunday (3/5/2026). The selection is conducted through the implementation of the Computer Assisted Test (CAT) system. This is done to organise a transparent, objective, and accountable test. For the record, the CAT system is also used in the selection of prospective civil servants (CPNS). The Merah Putih Cooperative CAT selection is taking place simultaneously at BKN office locations spread across Indonesia and several independent locations. Deputy Head of BKN Suharmen stated that his side has ensured all preparations from registration, identity verification, to arranging the flow of participants to the examination room. He also emphasised that the CAT system is key to maintaining the integrity of the selection. “The CAT system enables the selection process to run transparently, with results that can be immediately known by participants, thus minimising the potential for cheating,” said Suharmen. The Secretary General of BKN Imas Sukmariah said that this technical readiness is an important factor in guaranteeing an objective and credible selection. BKN is also strengthening the supervision aspect by providing monitoring facilities for the implementation of the selection nationally through a centralised online system at the BKN CAT Building. “Through this mechanism, the selection process at various locations can be monitored in real time to ensure uniformity of implementation standards throughout Indonesia,” said Imas. The Merah Putih Cooperative CAT selection process will continue until 12 May 2026. BKN ensures that fulfilling the human resources needs of the Merah Putih Cooperative will use the Fastest Best Results Programme (PHTC) based on merit.
