Jakarta (ANTARA) - A number of volunteers supporting Prabowo Subianto under the umbrella of the Seknas Indonesia Maju (Indonesia Onward National Secretariat) have declared that various programmes of President Prabowo Subianto, in accordance with his political pledges, are already on track.

"Things are running well. Improvements are still needed to refine implementation," said Seknas Indonesia Maju Deputy General Chairman Teddy Mulyadi in a statement received in Jakarta on Monday.

He cited the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, whose reach has continued to expand, with recipients now numbering nearly 60 million people.

Similarly, the People's Schools programme now has more than 166 schools in operation, ranging from primary school to senior secondary school level, run on a boarding system.

He added that the Merah Putih Cooperatives programme has seen 83,261 cooperatives registered as legal entities.

"This is an extraordinary achievement considering the Prabowo-Gibran administration is only 16 months old. These accomplishments should be appreciated by the entire nation," he said.

Regarding criticism that has emerged from the public, Teddy said this was normal and in fact constituted valuable input that could serve as evaluation material for stakeholders.

The various criticisms that have intensified recently are akin to vitamins that "perfect" the service of Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

He therefore argued that the criticism is part of the natural dynamics surrounding the various government programmes that have been rolled out.

"It is a form of attention and concern from the public so that these programmes become ever more refined," he said.

Meanwhile, Seknas Indonesia Maju General Chairman Monisyah affirmed that as volunteers supporting Prabowo-Gibran, his organisation would consistently oversee matters through to the end of the administration's term.

"We invite the Indonesian people to support government programmes so they can run well and have a positive impact on the wider public," Monisyah said.

He stressed that Seknas Indonesia Maju continues to monitor government programmes and even encourages its officials and members to be directly involved in overseeing programmes to ensure they are properly targeted.

To that end, Seknas IM continues to carry out consolidation efforts to maintain communication, particularly when regional officials encounter obstacles that can be championed at the national level.
