See Lidya, Ria and Nurul in 3-D

JAKARTA (JP): Television viewers in Indonesia will soon be
able to see their favorite slap-stick comedy actresses like Lidya
Kandou, Ria Irawan and Nurul Arifin in three-dimension.

The private channel RCTI next month will begin broadcasting 3-
D shows for some of its programs, enabling viewers to get more
realistic, in depth pictures, instead of the usual one-
dimensionality of ordinary television programs.

Any television set will receive the 3-D transmission, but to
be able to enjoy the effect viewers must wear special goggles.
Otherwise they will see ordinary, one-dimensional pictures,
according to an RCTI announcement.

The station will start with the broadcast of the comedy show
Gara-gara, starring Lidya Kandou, on June 3, and a French-made
animated children's movie entitled Remi the next day.

Two other comedies, Ada-ada Saja and Lika-Liku Laki which
stars Nurul and Ria respectively, will be shown in 3-D on June 27
and July 26.

The goggles will be available soon at Rp 1,000 per pair at:
Hero Supermarket, Gramedia bookstore, and Fuji Film outlets in
most major cities. The three companies are co-sponsoring RCTI's
3-D plan.

RCTI will also hold off-air promotions for its 3-D plan in the
cities of Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya and Medan this
