Security Priority: Avsec Responds Swiftly to Incident at Soekarno-Hatta Airport

PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero), also known as InJourney Airports, has reaffirmed its commitment to prioritising security, safety, and passenger service. This is part of InJourney Airports’ ongoing efforts to ensure a sense of security for all passengers.

Arie Ahsanurrohim, Corporate Secretary Group Head of InJourney Airports, stated that to maintain these standards, numerous personnel, including Aviation Security (Avsec), are stationed throughout the passenger terminals.

“On Monday night, 15 June 2026, Avsec officers responded swiftly to a dispute between two individuals in the Terminal 3 check-in area, which caused a disturbance and had the potential to threaten the security and safety of other airport users,” Arie Ahsanurrohim said in a written statement on Tuesday (16/6/2026).

Meanwhile, Yudistiawan, Assistant Deputy of Communication & Legal at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, noted that Avsec officers handled the situation quickly in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures. They immediately arrived at the scene, controlled the situation, and separated the two parties involved. The airport authorities also coordinated with relevant agencies to ensure conditions remained safe, orderly, and conducive, without disrupting airport operations or the comfort of other passengers.

He ensured that Soekarno-Hatta Airport will continue to maintain the security, safety, and comfort of all users in accordance with established standards.

“Subsequently, both parties involved in the dispute were taken to the Terminal 3 Police Post for mediation and further investigation. Thanks to the rapid handling by Avsec officers, the situation in the Terminal 3 area remained safe, orderly, and conducive. Service operations for users continued normally without any disruption to facilities or flight activities,” Yudistiawan concluded.
