Our motto in Bumi Serpong Damai is "comfortable in a fresh
environment". Almost all facilities needed for the convenience of
the complex's residents are available. However, the condition of
the complex's security is beginning to concern us. Especially to
a retired person like me, who badly needs a quiet and safe area
to live in, Bumi Serpong Damai has become an intolerable human
habitat.

Besides frequent cases of theft, trouble makers usually extort
money from some of the newcomers, who are moving in to this area.
Refusal to pay the thugs, as they demand, would result in their
beating the driver or the moving residents. In fact, the security
personnel have done their best to curb this ill-practice,
something for which we are grateful. But the region is so large
that they are incapable of coping with all the cases.

There is one more thing which calls for the real estate
management's attention. Fencing of the area should cover all
sectors instead of only giving priority and privilege to Sector
VI and Angrek Loka. Why does this discrimination exist?

Besides, the management of Bumi Serpong Damai should give the
opportunity to the young people to actively participate in the
development, as they did in Bintaro Jaya. The local people living
around the complex were involved in the development, so that they
did not have the impression of being neglected.
