Security Guard's Lawyer Demands Apology and Clarification from Alphard Driver as Case Continues

The legal team for a security guard involved in a viral altercation with the driver of a black Toyota Alphard has demanded a public apology and clarification. The incident began when the luxury vehicle allegedly ran a red light at a pedestrian crossing near the TransJakarta bus stop at Bundaran HI.

The security guard, identified as FH, was on duty assisting pedestrians crossing the road when he tapped the body of the car. Instead of receiving an apology for the traffic violation, FH was reportedly taken to a police post for mediation.

According to a statement posted on Instagram by lawyer Risman Harefa on Friday, 24 July 2026, the incident unfolded when the pedestrian crossing light was green. FH was helping people cross when the black Toyota Alphard deliberately sped through the red light. Realising the pedestrians were in grave danger, FH spontaneously reprimanded the driver of the luxury vehicle.

However, rather than reflecting on the serious traffic violation, the driver and his entourage allegedly became enraged. The post claims they persecuted FH, forcibly dragging him into the Bundaran HI police post. Inside the post, the driver allegedly identified himself as a state official and subjected FH to verbal abuse and sadistic physical punishment, despite FH having recently undergone surgery. The lawyer also stated that FH was subjected to psychological pressure.

Following the incident, lawyer Wiradarma Harefa from the firm WHP, which represents FH, issued a public statement. The legal team is urging the Alphard driver to offer a direct and public apology.
