Security guard stabbed to death

JAKARTA (JP): A security officer of the Griya Parahita housing complex at Bumi Serpong Damai in Tangerang was found dead Wednesday after allegedly being stabbed by two associates.

The victim, identified as Uci Sanusi bin Saimin, 42, had been stabbed in his chest and neck. He was a resident of Kampung Kandang in Jatake village, Tangerang.

Sulaeman, the Jatake village head, said that two men, identified as Mulyadi and Ceme, surrendered themselves to the police shortly after the stabbing. They also handed over a sickle and a machete allegedly used in the killing.

"There are many reasons behind the killing. Only a month ago, Uci and Mulyadi, who is also a security officer at the complex, were involved in a dispute about their respective authority in the complex. Both of them reportedly brought machetes," he said.

Uci is survived by his wife Esa and three children. Besides guarding the housing complex, Uci also worked as a security guard at a poultry farm near his neighborhood.

His body was sent to Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital in Jakarta for autopsy before burial. (ivy)
