Security guard Fiktor Harefa (27), who was involved in a viral altercation with the driver of a Toyota Alphard, has stated that the matter has been resolved amicably. The dispute occurred at the Bundaran HI area in Central Jakarta whilst Fiktor was on duty helping pedestrians cross the road.

Through his Instagram account, Fiktor Harefa said he has forgiven the three occupants of the Toyota Alphard who had intimidated him. “I, Fiktor Harefa, the security guard who went viral at Bundaran HI. Today, the three people who intimidated me have admitted their mistakes,” Fiktor stated on his Instagram account @fiktorharefa_.

Following the apology, he expressed satisfaction and said he harbours no resentment. “I am personally satisfied with their admission and the way they apologised to me. There is no grudge left in my heart, as we have resolved this amicably,” he said. Despite forgiving them, Fiktor has left further proceedings to the Professional and Internal Security Division (Propam) of the West Java Regional Police.

Kapolsek Metro Menteng, AKBP Braiel Ronald Arnold Rondonuwu, confirmed that both parties had agreed to settle the dispute amicably through mediation. “An effort or mediation was carried out between the driver and Mr Fiktor from the security team. It was agreed that the dispute between the driver and Mr Fiktor would be resolved amicably, with both parties forgiving each other and admitting their mistakes,” he told reporters at his office on Friday (24/7/2026). He explained that the Alphard driver had run a red light in the Bundaran HI area, meaning the driver and passengers must still face legal consequences, particularly regarding the improper use of the vehicle’s registration plates. Braiel also confirmed that the driver and the two passengers are members of the West Java Regional Police.
