Securing 15 Global Awards, Indonesia's Environmental Innovations Garner Worldwide Acclaim
PT Pertamina EP has once again achieved global acclaim by securing 15 awards at the international Green World Awards 2026 for several flagship social responsibility and environmental programmes implemented in its operational areas at Pertamina EP Tambun Field, Pertamina EP Subang Field, and Pertamina EP Jatibarang Field. The prestigious awards were presented by Roger Wolens, Founder & CEO of The Green Organisation, and Helena Hall, TCI UK & Scandinavia Director, on Monday (13/4/2026) at Cardiff Castle, Wales, United Kingdom.
At the event, Pertamina EP received the highest number of awards, surpassing dozens of multinational companies from various countries, while affirming the company’s position in implementing sustainable practices at the international level.
The Green World Awards is an international awards programme organised by The Green Organisation, an independent UK-based institution that recognises companies and organisations from various countries for their success in developing innovations, best practices, and sustainable programmes in the environmental and social fields.
In total, Pertamina EP secured 10 Global Gold awards, 4 Global Silver awards, and 1 Commended award. The Global Gold awards were achieved through various flagship programmes.
From Pertamina EP Subang Field, the Global Gold award was secured through the Purnama Subang programme, which focuses on community-based circular energy for social empowerment and sustainable transition in the Energy Generation category, as well as the Hydrodrilling programme, which emphasises improving drilling efficiency through sustainable water management in the Sustainable Water Management category.
Pertamina EP Tambun Field contributed awards through the Kapukita programme, an innovation in natural-based absorbent tools for controlling oil spills involving the community. This programme successfully won a Gold award in three categories simultaneously: Innovation; Environmental Improvement: Partnerships, Fuel, Power & Energy: Sustainability; and Sustainable Development: Waste Management, along with 1 Global Silver award in the Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development: Partnerships categories.
Meanwhile, from Pertamina EP Jatibarang Field, Gold and Silver awards were secured through the Jari Tangan programme, which promotes agricultural community empowerment to strengthen food security and sustainability aligned with energy operations. The Global Gold award was received in the Fuel, Power & Energy: Sustainability category and Global Silver in the Corporate Social Responsibility category.
Global Silver awards were also secured through several flagship programmes, including the Local Food Innovation Programme for Global Sustainability initiated by Pertamina EP Tambun Field in the Corporate Social Responsibility category.
For the Commended ranking, the award was given to Pertamina EP Jatibarang Field through the Tapak Lelea programme, which elevates the preservation of cultural heritage as the foundation for inclusive and sustainable indigenous community development in the Heritage category.
