Sections of Cipularang Toll Road Temporarily Closed for Cable Repairs

Purwakarta (ANTARA) - Authorities have implemented traffic management measures, including temporary closures at several points along the Cipularang Toll Road, due to repairs on PLN electricity network cables above the motorway.

Senior Manager Representative Office 3 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad (JMT) Regional Division Agus Susilo stated in Purwakarta, West Java, on Thursday that the repair and lowering of PLN electricity network cables above the Cipularang Toll Road is being carried out today at KM 84 and the Jatiluhur exit at 10.00 WIB, and at KM 86 at 15.00 WIB.

The work is being conducted in both directions of the Cipularang Toll Road, towards Jakarta and towards Bandung.

At the discretion of the police, he said, a temporary closure of the toll road will be implemented at the work site for a maximum duration of 10 minutes during the cable lowering process. This is to ensure the work can be carried out safely.

To minimise the impact on traffic, JMT has prepared mitigation measures including the installation of warning signs before the work area, traffic control, and optimal restriction of the work zone.

“Jasa Marga apologises for any inconvenience caused by the execution of this work,” he said.

Jasa Marga urges road users to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead and to anticipate adjustments to travel time and routes.

He hopes road users will always obey traffic signs and follow the directions of officers in the field for the smooth flow and comfort of traffic.
