Section 2 of Serang-Panimbang Toll Road Operates Functionally for Eid
PT Wijaya Karya Serang-Panimbang will implement functional operations on Section 2 of the Rangkas-Cileles toll road segment free of charge during the Eid 2026 period to support smooth holiday travel.
The functional operation of Section 2 will be implemented for 15 days, from H-7 to H+7 of Eid 2026, namely from 12 March 2026 to 26 March 2026, with operational hours from 07:00 to 17:00 WIB daily. This measure represents part of the company’s commitment to support regional connectivity and provide easier access to various premier tourist destinations in Banten Province, particularly in the Lebak region and surrounding areas.
Chief Executive Officer of PT Wijaya Karya Serang Panimbang Iwan Juliansyah stated that this functional operation demonstrates the company’s preparedness in supporting public mobility during the Eid season. “We are committed to providing the best service to road users. This functional Section 2 is expected to help reduce traffic congestion and facilitate smooth vehicle flow during the holiday travel and return period for Eid 2026,” Iwan stated in an official press release.
Through improved connectivity, the public can more easily reach tourist attractions such as Sawarna Beach Resort, Baduy indigenous and village area, Bayah Dome Geopark, and onward access to Tanjung Lesung tourist area and southern Banten coast.
With the opening of Section 2, travel to Banten tourist areas becomes more efficient, comfortable and integrated with the overall Serang-Panimbang Toll Road network. During the specified period, the operational routes include lanes towards Cikulur, Cileles and towards Jakarta/Merak.
This functional operation is specifically designated for Group I vehicles to ensure smooth operations and safety during the increased holiday traffic volume. During the functional period of Section 2, road users will only be charged the Section 1 toll rate, allowing the public to benefit from enhanced connectivity without additional toll charges for the newly operational Section 2 of the Serang-Panimbang toll road.
PT Wijaya Karya Serang Panimbang has ensured that all safety aspects, traffic signage and operational procedures have been optimally prepared and will coordinate with relevant parties to ensure smooth field implementation.
With the operationalisation of Section 2 Rangkas-Cileles, accessibility to the southern Banten region is expected to improve significantly, providing a more comfortable and efficient travel experience for the public during the Eid 2026 period.
The Serang-Panimbang Toll Road is part of a toll road network connected with the Trans-Java Toll Road, linking Jakarta, Serang and Pandeglang. This toll road is expected to improve connectivity and accessibility to the Banten region, particularly Central and Southern Banten, as well as promote economic and tourism growth in the area.
