PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Branch in Tangerang, Banten, projects the number of aircraft passenger movements at the airport during the second wave of the peak Lebaran 1447 Hijriah return period on Saturday (28/3) to reach 187,047 people.

“Based on daily data for the flight plan percentage on 28 March 2026 at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, it reaches 187,047 passengers,” said General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Heru Karyadi, in Tangerang, on Saturday.

He stated that from this total of 187,047 people, it is divided into two flights, including 86,084 departing passengers and 100,963 arriving passengers.

Meanwhile, for aircraft movements during the same period, there are 1,161 flights consisting of 578 departing flights and 583 arriving flights.

He said that for passenger movements in this second wave, the number of crossings at Terminal 1 reaches 49,717 people. Meanwhile, aircraft movements amount to 283 flights or 24.38 percent.

Then, at Terminal 2, specifically domestic, 53,241 people were recorded with 348 flights. For international, 16,469 people with 101 flights or 8.7 percent.

Next, the number of passenger movements at Terminal 3 on domestic routes is 38,178 people with 258 flights. Meanwhile, for international, 29,442 passengers were recorded with 159 flights or 13.7 percent.

“That’s correct. So similar to the mudik flow yesterday, there were two passenger surges. The mudik flow occurred on 14 March (prediction 177,000, realisation 184,000) and 18 March (H-2) with a realisation of 190,000 passengers,” he explained.

For the second peak return wave predicted to occur on 28 March 2026, there will be passenger movements estimated to reach around 198,387 passengers and 1,221 flights in one day.

“Today alone, 14 March 2026, we plan to serve 190,000 passengers, but the peak is still predicted for Saturday, 28 March 2026,” he said.

“We are still looking at the operational plan we have compiled from airline data, namely on 28 March or next Saturday. We predict we will serve around 198,000 passengers,” he stated.

In terms of service realisation up to Saturday (14/3) H-7 to Tuesday (24/3) H+2 of the 2026 Lebaran mudik period at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, it reaches 1,983,067 people.

“Based on our records from the initial mudik period from 14 to 24 March 2026, we have served 1,983,067 passengers,” he emphasised.

“Up to H+2, we have served 13,184 flights, growing by 4.7 percent compared to 2025 and 5.6 percent compared to 2019,” he explained.

According to him, this growth is driven by an increase in passenger traffic movements that peaked since 14 March 2026 with a prediction of 177 thousand people and realised at 184 thousand passengers.

“It occurred on 14 March (prediction 177,000, realisation 184,000) and 18 March (H-2) with a realisation of 190,000 passengers,” he said.
