Second TNI AU Airbus A400M Aircraft Set to Arrive in Indonesia Soon
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Airbus A400M Atlas (A-4002) aircraft has left Sevilla, Spain, heading to Indonesia. Unlike the A-4001 aircraft, which passed through the Gulf region (Dubai) and Medan, the second aircraft in the order from Indonesia’s Ministry of Defence (Kemenhan) for the TNI AU has chosen a different route due to the ongoing war.
The TNI AU’s largest transport aircraft is taking a route via St John Airport, Canada, to the Pacific Ocean, before landing at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in East Jakarta. The Airbus A400M is estimated to arrive in Jakarta in the near future.
However, Brigadier General Rico Ricardo Sirait, Head of Information for the Secretariat General of Kemenhan, did not provide a specific arrival date for the Airbus A400M. There were rumours that the transport aircraft would arrive on Thursday (26/3/2026), coinciding with the KRI Prabu Siliwangi (321), but there is no confirmation on that.
“The second Airbus A400 will arrive at the end of March,” Rico said briefly to Republika in Jakarta on Wednesday (25/3/2026). In a video post from one of the Airbus A400M pilots, the aircraft has left Sevilla and arrived at the snow-covered St John Airport.
After that, it will continue its flight towards the Pacific for one transit.
