Second Peak of Return Flow at Kampung Rambutan Terminal Predicted for Saturday-Sunday

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The second peak of the return flow at the Kampung Rambutan Terminal in East Jakarta is expected to occur on Saturday (28/3/2026) and Sunday (29/3/2026). This follows the resumption of office and school activities starting on Monday (30/3/2026). “It is estimated there will be a second peak, which could possibly reach 5,000 or 6,000 people,” said the Head of Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Revi Zulkarnain, when contacted on Thursday (26/3/2026). Meanwhile, the first peak of the return flow was reported on Wednesday (25/3/2026). More than 7,000 returnees passed through the Kampung Rambutan Terminal in a single day. “Yesterday, that was the highest peak with 7,144 people. With origins and destinations in East Java, West Java, and West Sumatra,” said Revi. Revi added that this year’s return flow tends to be higher compared to last year, with relatively stable passenger numbers each day. “Because this year the subsequent days are almost balanced (in terms of passenger numbers). In the past, there was only a peak, then it immediately dropped,” he explained.
