Second Generation of Li Mega Launched

The second generation of the Li Mega has officially launched, featuring several updates to the cabin, driving technology, and chassis to strengthen its position in China’s premium electric MPV segment.

CarnewsChina reported on Wednesday (2/9) that the vehicle is available in only one primary variant, known as the Mega Home. This move is part of the company’s efforts to reinforce its flagship product amidst intensifying competition in the Chinese premium electric vehicle market.

The system produces a combined power output of up to 413 kW, or approximately 553 hp. The car utilises a 108 kWh battery, providing a driving range of up to 710 km based on the CLTC standard.

The most significant updates are found in the sectors of comfort and technology. Li Auto has redesigned the interior to create a cabin space that more closely resembles a family living room.

Regarding the chassis, the second-generation Mega incorporates steer-by-wire technology and rear-wheel steering capabilities. Its dimensions remain substantial, with a length of approximately 5.35 metres and a wheelbase of 3.3 metres.

These characteristics position the Mega as a premium family MPV, with a primary focus on passenger space and comfort.

CnEVPost indicated that Mega deliveries reached only 3,179 units throughout January-July 2026, representing a 63.1 per cent decrease compared to the same period the previous year. With this latest generation, Li Auto is not merely updating the Mega’s appearance but is attempting to enhance its competitiveness through a combination of electric technology, cabin comfort, and more advanced manoeuvrability.
