Second Contingent: 10 Indonesian Citizens from Iran Arrive at Soekarno-Hatta Airport
TANGERANG — A total of 10 Indonesian citizens (WNI) who were being repatriated from Iran arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang City, Banten Province, on Wednesday evening, 11 March 2026.
Based on observations at the location, the Indonesian citizens exited the Immigration area of Terminal 3 at Soekarno-Hatta Airport at approximately 19:13 Western Indonesian Time and proceeded towards the exit gate of the pilgrimage route.
Unlike the arrival of the first contingent, the Indonesian citizens who arrived on Wednesday evening appeared to exit independently without accompanying staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
One by one, they passed through the exit gate of the pilgrimage route located in Terminal 3. Many of them appeared to be carrying large suitcases and backpacks.
An emotional atmosphere was evident as several of the Indonesian citizens reunited with family members after their long journey from Iran.
Nevertheless, the Indonesian citizens chose to provide minimal statements to media personnel and promptly left the arrival area after meeting with their families.
The repatriation of these 10 Indonesian citizens is part of the process of returning Indonesians from Iran amid the heightened security situation in the country.
Previously, 22 Indonesian citizens had arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
These citizens were evacuated following escalating tensions in Iran as a result of the conflict with the United States and Israel.
