JAKARTA, KOMPAS.COM - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) found evidence of communications during the search of the home of West Java DPRD Deputy Chairman Ono Surono, though this evidence still requires further processing.

“Because we found several communications that we naturally need to clarify,” said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution, Asep Guntur Rahayu, when met at Bareskrim Polri on Thursday (2/4/2026).

The investigation relates to the alleged bribery case involving advance payments for projects within the Bekasi Regency Government (Pemkab Bekasi), which has implicated inactive Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang.

Asep stated that investigators are still delving into several communications and witness statements deemed relevant to uncovering the case’s structure.

“And there are other statements and evidence, so we need to carry out coercive measures,” he said.

He assured that developments in the case will be communicated to the public after the clarification process is completed by investigators.

Regarding the search at the home of West Java DPRD Deputy Chairman Ono Surono in Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday (1/4/2026), Asep asked the public to await the official investigation results.

“(The results) Oh, they are there. Of course, they will be announced later,” Asep concluded.

The search is connected to the alleged bribery case involving advance payments for projects in Pemkab Bekasi, which has implicated inactive Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang.

From the search, KPK seized evidentiary items including cash worth hundreds of millions, documents, and electronic evidence (BBE).

KPK confirmed that the search was conducted in accordance with procedures, namely Article 34 of Law Number 8 of 1981 on Criminal Procedure Law, as amended by Article 113 paragraph 4 of Law Number 20 of 2025 on the Criminal Procedure Code.
