A joint Search and Rescue (SAR) team has again located one victim of the flash flood in Banjar Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency, Bali, on Saturday (7 March 2026). The victim found was deceased, named Komang Suci.

Head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office, I Nyoman Sidakarya, said the discovery was the result of the second day of searching after the floodwaters struck the area.

According to a report from the Buleleng SAR post, a total of four victims were reported swept away by the flash flood. Two of them had already been found.

He explained that the first victim was found on Friday (6 March) night at around 23:10 WITA. The next victim was found on the second day of the search operations.

The 44-year-old female victim was found at 13:56 WITA amid debris and trash carried by the floodwaters. The joint SAR team then evacuated the body at 14:18 WITA and transported it to RSUD Buleleng hospital.

“We have informed the family to check, as the found victim is an adult female. Meanwhile the victims still missing are children,” he said.

In the search operation, the joint SAR team deployed a total of 139 personnel, all based in Singaraja. Additionally, 16 Bali Police Sabhara personnel were involved in the search.

Sidakarya said the search would focus around the location where the victim was found, especially on piles of debris and material carried by the floodwaters.

“We will also deploy heavy equipment in the form of excavators to lift debris at the site. Hopefully the other victims can be found soon,” he added.

Moreover, the SAR team has been using tracking dogs in the search from morning to afternoon. He hopes for additional support from Bali Police to deploy tracking dogs again in the next search.

Earlier reports indicated that four residents of Banjar were swept away by the flash flood on Friday night. On the first day of search, one victim was found dead. As of now, two other victims remain missing and are being sought by the joint SAR team.
