Sean Gelael Shares Racing Insights at GIIAS, MyPertamina Booth Attracts Crowds

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga featured national racing driver Sean Gelael during a ‘Ngebooth’ (Exciting Booth Chat) session at the MyPertamina booth during the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang. The event served as an interactive space for visitors to engage with Gelael, who shared his experiences regarding the world of racing, automotive technology, and the importance of maintaining vehicle performance.

Kitty Andhora, VP of Corporate Communication at Pertamina Patra Niaga, stated that the ‘Ngebooth’ activity is part of the company’s efforts to provide a more interactive experience for GIIAS 2026 visitors. “GIIAS is the largest automotive exhibition in Indonesia, bringing together various industry players, communities, and the public. Through ‘Ngebooth’ with Sean Gelael, we are providing a more interactive experience for visitors to learn about Pertamina’s products while enjoying the various activities at the MyPertamina booth,” said Kitty.

Hosted by Den Dimas, the session included casual discussions, Q&A, games, and photo sessions attended by visitors, automotive communities, and ride-hailing drivers. Sean Gelael, who serves as the Brand Ambassador for Pertamax Turbo and Pertamina gas stations, emphasised that using fuel that meets vehicle recommendations is crucial for engine performance. “Because Pertamax Turbo is synonymous with performance. As a racer, I believe vehicles also require appropriate fuel to ensure optimal performance. The message we want to convey is to use fuel that matches the vehicle’s recommendations,” Gelael remarked.

Gelael also shared his experiences competing in various international championships, including those at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit. He noted that such experiences teach the importance of physical endurance, pressure management, and understanding vehicle characteristics. During the event, he invited the ‘Pejuang Aspal’ community to share their experiences using Pertamax Turbo on social media, with selected participants earning the chance to join the Pertamax Turbo Ultimate Experience at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit.

Don, a ride-hailing driver from the Ojol Priuk community in North Jakarta, expressed his enthusiasm for the session, noting that Gelael’s insights on endurance were highly beneficial for drivers with high mobility. Similarly, Jo Turangan from the W211 Mercedes-Benz Community Indonesia appreciated the opportunity to interact with Gelael and participate in the MyPertamina booth activities, which featured games, prizes, and opportunities to redeem MyPertamina points.
