SEAG windsurfers try out in Lombok

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian windsurfing team is heading to Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, to have a tryout for the Kuala Lumpur Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in September.

I Gusti Made Oka Sulaksana, Wayan Winata, Faddly Faizal, M Arianto, Nanang Suhendi, Junaedi and Eny Wiliyanti are currently training at Semawang Beach in Sanur, Bali.

"The tryout is very important to avoid boredom after three months of training in Semawang. We expect the new surroundings will refresh the team before the final evaluation in May," windsurfing project officer Ignatius Dadiek was quoted as saying by Antara on Thursday.

"There will be 16 members of the team including two coaches and the other officials taking part in the tryout."

The windsurfers will be in Lombok for three days starting Friday.

Dadiek, a Navy colonel, said the tryout would cost more than Rp 13 million (US$1,200) to cover all expenses. (nvn)
