SEA slo-pitch event to start on Friday

JAKARTA: Organizers of the Southeast Asia slo-pitch tournament said on Thursday the game's 21st series would begin on Friday.

"There are 14 teams participating in the event, which will last until Sunday at the Bung Karno Baseball Stadium in Central Jakarta," organizing committee spokesman Hendy told The Jakarta Post.

"Apart from Indonesian teams, there are also representatives from Chinese Taipei, Singapore and Thailand," he said.

Participants in the tournament are company-sponsored teams, including teams from Caltex, Santa Fe and Worldwide Movers. -- JP
