SDN Tanggirejo Revitalisation Begins, Minister Targets Completion in 3-4 Months
Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti has announced that the revitalisation of SDN Tanggirejo, located in Tegowanu District, Grobogan Regency, Central Java, is underway and targeted for completion within three to four months. ‘The plan is 3 to 4 months,’ Abdul Mu’ti stated when contacted on Sunday (26/7/2026). He detailed that the facilities to be repaired include three classrooms with collapsed roofs, two toilets, one administration room, and one library. The project will cost Rp 1.3 billion. ‘Assistance of Rp 1.3 billion will be provided,’ he added. The revitalisation work began on Saturday (25/7) following damage to the school building. SDN Tanggirejo’s head, Juwariyah, welcomed the start of construction and expressed gratitude to the government, particularly President Prabowo Subianto. ‘Alhamdulillah, today the construction of SDN Tanggirejo has begun. We thank President Prabowo Subianto and all levels of government who responded quickly to our school’s condition,’ Juwariyah said. The roof damage had forced the school to reorganise teaching and learning activities, with some classes held in rotation and the prayer room used as a temporary learning space. Juwariyah hopes the revitalisation will be completed soon so students can return to safe and comfortable classrooms.
