SDN Tanggirejo Headmistress Thanks Prabowo for School Revitalisation
The headmistress of SDN Tanggirejo in Grobogan Regency, Central Java, Juwariyah, has thanked President Prabowo Subianto and government officials for commencing the revitalisation of her dilapidated school. ‘I thank the President and his staff for initiating this revitalisation,’ Juwariyah said on Saturday. She confirmed that renovation work began on Saturday (25 July), following an inspection by the Presidential Palace. Juwariyah explained the revitalisation would comprehensively address all damaged parts of the school buildings. ‘God willing, everything will be covered,’ she said. Despite the start of repairs, teaching and learning activities continue. The school has arranged a rotating schedule for some pupils, while usable classrooms have been partitioned and the prayer hall is being used as a temporary learning space. She added that the damage first appeared in the Year 6 classroom in January 2026, followed by the teachers’ office in April, caused by a termite infestation. ‘We are continuously coordinating with various parties, from the school principal and education office to the Central Java Centre for Quality Assurance in Education, to expedite this revitalisation. We will soon invite the headmistress of SDN Tanggirejo to Jakarta to sign the revitalisation cooperation agreement,’ said Gogot. The School Revitalisation Programme is a priority of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education to deliver quality education for all. Responding to the condition of SDN Tanggirejo, the ministry reaffirmed its commitment to improving educational facilities so that pupils can learn in a safe, comfortable, and proper environment.
