The Banten Provincial Government hopes the Scout Movement can become a fortress for strengthening the character of the nation’s children in facing the dynamics of changing times and the rapid onslaught of technological development. Head of the Banten Youth and Sports Office, Ahmad Saukani, stated that technological advances may replace many jobs, but they will not replace a person’s character, and that is what the Scout Movement builds.

Speaking in Serang, he emphasised that amidst future challenges marked by the advancement of artificial intelligence and a dynamic world, the nation does not just need a generation that is intelligent, but also figures who are honest, disciplined, and possess integrity. He further reminded the 419 participants of the Banten contingent that their participation in the National Jamboree, scheduled to take place at the Cibubur Campground in Jakarta from 13 to 20 August 2026, is not merely an honour but a responsibility.

All participants carry the identity of Banten and must uphold the community’s culture, which is friendly, religious, hardworking, and promotes the spirit of mutual cooperation.
