Scout Film Presents Adventure Rich in Character Values for the Young Generation

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Production house Alamanda Pictures, together with the National Scout Movement (Kwarnas Gerakan Pramuka), has presented the film ‘Pramuka’, a family adventure that promotes values of courage, leadership, mutual cooperation, and care for the younger generation. The Chairman of Kwarnas Gerakan Pramuka, Komjen Pol. (Purn.) Drs. Budi Waseso, stated that the film is part of an effort to strengthen national character education through creative media. ‘We hope this film is not only entertaining viewing but also an inspiring guide,’ he said. ‘This film introduces the true face of the Scout Movement, that scouting is not just about camping or wearing a uniform, but a process of character building, leadership, life skills, social awareness, and love for the country and dedication to the nation and state,’ Budi Waseso said in a press statement received in Jakarta on Monday. Through the power of storytelling and visuals, cinema can inspire and build national character in a way that is closer to the lives of children and families. Producer of Alamanda Pictures, Amanda Latief, said the film ‘Pramuka’ was born from a desire to present an Indonesian family film that not only offers adventure and action but also conveys a message about the importance of courage, friendship, discipline, and caring for others. The film ‘Pramuka’ tells the story of Panji (12) and his friends during a Penggalang camp that turns into a challenging adventure. When they get lost in the forest, the group accidentally discovers the hideout of a child kidnapping syndicate. Armed with scouting skills, ingenuity, courage, and a spirit of cooperation, they fight to rescue Panji’s kidnapped younger sibling and free other child victims. The values of the Scout Law (Dasa Dharma Pramuka), such as leadership, discipline, responsibility, mutual cooperation, and social awareness, form the thread that drives the entire journey of the characters. The launch of the film ‘Pramuka’ holds special significance as it takes place during the 65th anniversary of Scouting Day and ahead of the 12th National Jamboree in 2026, which carries the theme ‘Creating, Innovating, Skilled and Independent to Support Food Sovereignty’. Through this collaboration between the film industry and the Scout Movement, it is hoped that more creative works can serve as a medium for character education while strengthening the young generation’s love for national values. The film ‘Pramuka’ can be seen in CGV cinema networks across Indonesia starting 20 July 2026.
