Science Olympiad lacks publicity
Science Olympiad lacks publicity
From Republika
The International Science Olympiad for junior high school levels is underway in Indonesia from Dec. 5 to Dec. 14. This is indeed an important event and has great long-term benefit.
Scientific and technological capability and advancement will obviously enhance a nation's welfare, and this also applies to Indonesia. Sadly, this program has received inadequate media coverage so that the public has not been properly informed.
I hope that the event will be highlighted by TV stations and newspapers and through interviews with Indonesian student participants, the organizing committee and other relevant parties.
In this way, our students, teachers and schools will be further encouraged to pay greater attention to the promotion of subjects of science and technology for the future of nation.
