Schools to be renovated

BANDUNG, West Java: The provincial government plans to
renovate 3,601 elementary school buildings in 25 regencies during
the 1996/1997 fiscal year, Antara reported.

In a written statement delivered in a hearing with the
provincial legislative council on Monday, Governor R. Nuriana
said the government has allocated Rp 49.92 billion
(US$21,188,455) for the project.

The province currently has 30,125 elementary school buildings.
