Schools Restrict Student Gadget Use to Foster Conducive Learning Environment

Schools are limiting the use of gadgets by students to create a conducive learning environment. Teachers place students’ gadgets into storage boxes before teaching and learning activities commence at SMAN 2 Banda Aceh, Banda Aceh, Aceh, on Friday (17/7/2026). The government has implemented restrictions on gadget use within school environments as part of the implementation of Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 concerning Electronic System Governance in Child Protection (PP Tunas), aiming to create a more conducive learning atmosphere while strengthening child protection in the digital space. Students hand over their gadgets to teachers before entering the SMAN 2 Banda Aceh school environment.
