The bridge connecting two villages, Desa Pangkalan Terap and Desa Kuala Panduk, in Teluk District, Pelalawan Regency, was completed in early May 2026. The construction process took 12 days, carried out with mutual cooperation (gotong royong).

The bridge deck was replaced with iron plates and iron railings making residents safer to cross. The bridge has dimensions of 10 metres in length and 3.6 metres in width.

Located at RT 06/RW 03 Dusun III Desa Pangkalan Terap, the bridge becomes a vital access for the community to support daily mobility, particularly as a link between villages in Teluk Meranti sub-district.

Several residents and schoolchildren welcomed the bridge with joy. Now they no longer need to worry when crossing the bridge.

The Pelalawan Police Chief, AKBP John Louis Letedara, expressed gratitude for the completion of the Presisi Bridge. He said that the bridge is a manifestation of the police presence in the community, not only in maintaining security but also in supporting infrastructure development that benefits residents directly.

‘Alhamdulillah [praise be], the Presisi Bridge in Desa Pangkalan Terap has been completed and can already be used by the community. We hope the existence of this bridge can facilitate residents’ activities, both in economic activities, education, and daily mobility,’ John Louis said on Friday (22/5/2026).

John also added that the success of this construction could not be separated from the support and participation of the local community.

‘We would like to thank all parties, especially the community which has actively participated so that this bridge could be completed on time,’ he said.

Meanwhile, the Teluk Meranti Police Chief Ipda Vicki Rizky urged the public to join in safeguarding the bridge facility.

‘In the future, we invite all communities to jointly maintain and care for this facility so that it can be used in the long term,’ said Vicky.

The completion of the Red-and-White Presisi Bridge in Desa Pangkalan Terap becomes a symbol of synergy between the Polri and the community in supporting infrastructure development in the region.
