School Year Rush: Home-Based Convection Businesses Swamped with Uniform Orders

The 2025/2026 academic year has brought a windfall for school equipment garment businesses, particularly for school uniforms. There is typically an increase in consumer purchasing power within the school uniform garment sector during this period.

Garment entrepreneurs usually increase their production up to twice the usual volume to prepare for the annual new school year season. “National garment production for school uniforms averages around 50 million pieces within two months,” stated one worker.

One worker revealed that they are receiving numerous uniform orders across various educational levels, especially for Primary (SD) and Junior High School (SMP) students.

“Market demand is quite high this new academic year; almost every week, many school uniform traders come directly to the factory to request goods, even though these items are usually delivered to customer shops,” they added.

With the trend of increasing orders, home-based garment factories are currently racing against time to complete all pending orders.
