School principal's bank account

According to Sri Sudono Sumarto, the head of the Jakarta
regional office of the Ministry of Education and Culture, it is
wrong for parents' association (BP3) funds to be deposited into
the personal bank account of a school principal.

BP3 funds must only be deposited into the association's
account.

For financial accounting, depositing BP3 funds into the
personal account of a school principal is incorrect as it will
cause difficulties for BP3 to conduct an internal audit.

A school principal is the patron of BP3 pursuant to sub-
article 2 of Article 8 of the Decree of the Minister of Education
and Culture No. 0293/U/1993 and sub-article 1 of Article 17 of
the Statute of BP3.

Unless Decree No. 0292/U/1993 has been revised, Minister of
Education and Culture Wardiman Djoyonegoro should pay serious
attention to the incorrect handling of this financial matter.
