School Inaugurates Fourth Building, Prepares Superior Facilities for Students
Sekolah Citra Berkat (SCB) Tangerang, Banten, has announced the inauguration of its fourth building, held on Tuesday, 18 August 2026. The new building is part of the school’s commitment to continuously develop an educational environment that is relevant to current needs while preparing students to face future challenges.
Embracing the spirit of ‘Future Starts Here’, Sekolah Citra Berkat believes that future readiness needs to be built from an early age. ‘Education does not only focus on academic achievement, but also on students’ ability to think critically, adapt, innovate, collaborate, solve problems, and have the courage to create opportunities and provide a positive impact on their surrounding environment,’ said General Manager of SCB Barat, Nikolina, during an online press conference on Tuesday (18/8).
According to Nikolina, this spirit is realised through education based on two main strengths of Sekolah Citra Berkat: Entrepreneurship and Academic Excellence. Both serve as foundations in shaping students who not only possess strong academic knowledge and competence, but also independent, creative, and innovative character, as well as a leadership mindset.
Nikolina explained that the inauguration of Building 4 is one of the concrete steps taken by Sekolah Citra Berkat in presenting a learning ecosystem that supports the needs of 21st-century education. The building is designed not merely as an addition of learning space, but as a space for students to explore, collaborate, experiment, create works, and develop their potential.
Located within the school area with a total land area of 20,000 square metres, the development of the fourth building has a building area of 3,213 square metres. The addition of this building increases the capacity of Sekolah Citra Berkat Tangerang so that overall the school can accommodate up to approximately 2,000 students.
Building 4, with a total area of approximately 3,213 square metres, is equipped with various modern facilities, including interactive classrooms, a STEAM Room, a Computer Laboratory, an Audiovisual Room, an OSIS Room, and a Podcast Room. Each facility is designed to support a more active, contextual, collaborative, and technology-based learning experience, while providing broader space for students to develop their creativity, skills, and potential.
SCB Wilayah Barat oversees four schools: SCB Citra Garden Jakarta Barat, SCK Don Bosco Pondok Indah Jakarta Selatan, SCB Tangerang, and SCB Citra Indah Bogor.
On the same occasion, Education Consultant of SCB, Boedi Tjusila, stated that the development of school facilities cannot be separated from the main character of SCB education, which prioritises entrepreneurship and academic excellence. He explained that the rapid development of technology and the world of education demands schools to continuously adapt in order to remain relevant to the needs of an increasingly advanced era with technological acceleration.
Regarding the school curriculum, according to Boedi Tjusila, SCB continues to use the national curriculum referring to the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen). The school develops learning that provides space for students to build a global mindset. Entrepreneurship is designed to be part of the learning process from primary to secondary education levels. Students gain experience working on projects tailored to their age and education level.
‘Entrepreneurial development is creativity that makes them produce something meaningful not only for themselves, but also for others. Through this approach, students are directed to understand theory as well as practice in facing challenges and finding solutions,’ explained Boedi.
Heni Wijayanti, Head of School of SCB Tangerang, added that the development of Building 4 further strengthens the educational experience that connects knowledge, skills, character, technology, creativity, and leadership. The continuously developing learning environment is expected to provide broader opportunities for students to learn through real experiences, dare to try new things, and build competence.
Sekolah Citra Berkat Tangerang was established in 2004 and has grown for more than two decades. Along with increasing public trust, the number of students has continued to grow from 148 students at the beginning to 1,773 students today.
In his brief remarks, Board of Executive Director of Yayasan Ciputra Pendidikan, Prof. Dr. Ir. Denny Bernardus, stated that amidst the challenges and competition in the development of the education world, SCB continues to improve the quality of education and educational services. ‘Through the improvement of our education and services, we continue to collaborate well with the government, schools, and teachers, as well as with parents and students,’ he said.
Representing the Regional Government of Tangerang Regency, Secretary of the Education Office of Tangerang Regency, Agus Supriatna, expressed appreciation to SCB for its educational investment in producing superior human resources for the Tangerang region and Indonesia.
