School in South Tangerang Cuts Ties with Headmaster Accused of Child Grooming
As a form of institutional responsibility in upholding educational values, ethics, and the integrity of the school environment, as of today, the Foundation has officially stated that the individual in question is no longer affiliated with the Foundation on a permanent basis,” read a post on the Instagram account @letrispamulangofficial, viewed on Saturday (16/5/2026).
The Foundation also conveyed its apologies to all parents and students. It acknowledged that the school had become the focus of public attention due to this case.
“We express our apologies to all parents, students, and the wider community for the inconvenience and public attention that has arisen in recent times,” it said.
Finally, the foundation is committed to maintaining professionalism and a sense of security for all parties. It is known that the posts on social media regarding the alleged child grooming went viral, with several anonymous accounts sharing stories and accounts related to the behavior within the school environment. One post mentioned the headmaster’s approach to certain female students.
The headmaster is said to have targeted female students who lacked attention from their fathers. The incident is said to have occurred repeatedly. For information, Komnas Perempuan (National Commission on Violence Against Women) states that child grooming is a form of gender-based violence that targets children, especially girls, through unequal power relations, emotional manipulation, and the normalization of sexual behavior. The pattern of child grooming generally emerges through the perpetrator’s strategy of positioning themselves as a close friend and listener, giving excessive gifts and validation, gradually normalizing sexual behavior, asking for the relationship to be kept secret to isolate the child from their support network, manipulating feelings of guilt and fear, and ultimately leading to sexual threats and coercion so that the victim continues to comply with their wishes. The foundation had previously suspended the headmaster on Friday (15/5). However, today they announced that the headmaster is no longer affiliated with the foundation.
