School Holiday Period: Pertamina Increases Pertalite Stocks by Up to 18% at Petrol Stations Across Central Java and Yogyakarta

Ahead of the school holiday period running from 22 June to 3 July 2026, Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Central Java region is increasing Pertalite stocks by between 10 and 18 percent at all petrol stations (SPBU) across Central Java and Yogyakarta. The move is taken to anticipate the current situation combined with last year’s consumption trend during the school holidays, which saw a 1.4 percent rise in Central Java and a 7 percent rise in Yogyakarta for all fuel types. Taufiq Kurniawan, Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga for Central Java and Yogyakarta, stated that the two provinces are a national destination for school holidays, prompting the company to anticipate the increase in consumption. “We all know that Central Java and Yogyakarta are two provinces that rely on the tourism sector as the main heart of the economy, with easily and cheaply accessible reach, so as in previous years, we will support and anticipate this,” Taufiq said in a statement on Friday (19/6/2026). The thickening of fuel stocks at petrol stations is carried out through periodic evaluations and prioritises tourist destination points. “We thicken stocks at SPBU by 10 to 18 percent each day depending on the daily consumption prediction, which we will continue to evaluate every day together with the SPBU,” he added. In addition to stock increases, a number of measures to enhance consumer comfort during this period are being undertaken by Pertamina Patra Niaga for Central Java and Yogyakarta, including delivering fuel in the early hours, increasing Pertalite delivery volumes, adding marshalling officers to manage queues, distributing free bottled mineral water, and uploading information on the nearest petrol stations in the MyPertamina app as an energy access guide for visitors entering Central Java and Yogyakarta. Taufiq also expressed gratitude for the cross-sectoral coordination established with local governments and the police. “We also continue to coordinate with local governments and the police to ensure fuel supply is guaranteed and queues at petrol stations do not disrupt other road users,” he concluded.
