Scheduled Verification Implemented to Ensure Queue-Free Student Admissions for State High Schools in East Java
The registration process for the 2026/2027 academic year Student Admission System (SPMB) for State Senior High Schools (SMA) and Vocational High Schools (SMK) in East Java is guaranteed to be queue-free. The East Java Education Office has prepared a scheduled verification system for the registration period.
“We can see that the verification rooms are quite spacious. The queues are well-regulated and the prepared capacity is sufficient. Therefore, there are no queues like last year, where I heard some people began arriving at schools at dawn. This time, the allocated time is quite long,” said East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa in Surabaya on Wednesday (3/6).
Governor Khofifah ensured that all verification stages are running smoothly, providing ease of service for prospective students and parents. She noted that the implemented verification system is scheduled, ensuring the service process is more orderly and does not cause long queues.
The first stage of this SPMB runs from 29 May to 9 July. The registration process is managed by an average of 10 operators, allowing for greater capacity to handle new student applicants.
“The process for PIN collection and SPMB verification began on 29 May and will continue until 9 June 2026. The system is arranged based on a schedule so that prospective students know exactly when to arrive to verify data and documents. Alhamdulillah, the process is running quite smoothly and orderly,” she said.
Governor Khofifah explained that the 2026/2027 SPMB stages begin with the independent collection of PINs by prospective students from 28 May to 9 June 2026, followed by data and document verification and validation from 29 May to 10 June 2026. Additionally, online registration trials are available from 8 to 9 June 2026, to ensure prospective students and parents understand the registration mechanism before entering the selection stage.
The registration implementation will be carried out in stages, including the Domicile Track from 11 to 12 June 2026; the Affirmation, Parent/Guardian Mutation, and Competition Achievement Track from 17 to 18 June 2026; the SMA Academic Achievement Track on 24 to 25 June 2026; and the SMK Academic Achievement Track from 30 June to 1 July 2026.
“This orderly process can be seen across all regencies and cities in East Java. This means the East Java Provincial Education Office continues to strive to improve services for prospective students applying to their target high schools,” she explained.
