Schedule and Location Information for Jakarta Car Free Day Today

JAKARTA — The Jakarta Provincial Government continues to organise Motor Vehicle Free Day (MVFD) in the area along General Sudirman Street to MH Thamrin Street, Sunday (24/5/2026).

The public space without motorised vehicles, commonly referred to as car free day (CFD), opens from 06:00 WIB until 10:00 WIB, providing residents with the opportunity to exercise, take a leisurely walk, or simply enjoy the morning air in the city centre without traffic noise.

The Sudirman–Thamrin CFD is held every Sunday. This programme is one of the Jakarta Provincial Government’s efforts to encourage the public to reduce their dependence on motorised vehicles whilst providing a healthier and more environmentally friendly public space.

Provincial Level:

• Jl. Sudirman – Jl. MH Thamrin, every Sunday, 06:00 – 10:00 WIB

Municipal Level:

• South Jakarta: Jl. Sultan Iskandar Muda (Pondok Indah Arterial Road), third Sunday of each month, 06:00 – 10:00 WIB

• West Jakarta: CNI Area - Jl Kembangan, second Sunday of each month, 06:00 – 10:00 WIB

• Central Jakarta: Jl. Suryopranoto, second and third Sunday of each month, 06:00 – 10:00 WIB

• North Jakarta: Sunter Lake Area, third Sunday of each month, 06:00 – 10:00 WIB

• East Jakarta: Jl. Pemuda Rawamangun, second and fourth Sunday of each month, 06:00 – 10:00 WIB
