SCG Sharing the Dream 2026 Distributes Hundreds of Scholarships to Develop Indonesia's Young Human Resources
SCG has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to developing Indonesia’s young generation through ‘SCG Sharing the Dream 2026’, now in its 14th year. Since its launch in 2012, the programme has supported more than 5,200 scholarship recipients across Indonesia. This year, SCG awarded 412 scholarships to 400 high school or equivalent students and 12 undergraduate students during an Awarding Day held at the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.
President Director of PT SCG Indonesia, Pattaraphon Charttongkum, stated that as Indonesia prepares for the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, developing competent, adaptive, and responsible young people is increasingly important. “To achieve this goal, the challenge of human capital gaps must be addressed immediately,” Pattaraphon said. He noted that 19.44 per cent of Indonesia’s population falls outside the categories of education, employment, or training, known as NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training). This condition, he said, highlights the importance of expanding opportunities for young people to develop the skills they need to face the future.
He expressed the belief that a nation’s greatest strength lies in its human resources. As the world continues to evolve, preparing the younger generation for the future is no longer just about providing access to education. “It also means building the mindset, capabilities, and confidence so they can lead, innovate, and contribute to society,” he said. In cooperation with Ancora Foundation, which has been an official partner since 2012, the programme has provided scholarships to more than 5,200 students, followed by various types of competency training. Since 2024, SCG has also provided a special quota for children of construction workers and children with disabilities. Carrying the theme “Green Active Generation: Empowered to Act, Driven to Change,” the programme encourages scholarship recipients to develop leadership, adaptability, and practical skills while applying their knowledge to face real-world challenges through capacity-building programmes, experiential learning, and Community Projects.
