Scenes at Cimuning Bekasi LPG Bulk Filling Station After Fire: In Ruins, with Scorched Motorcycle

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The condition of the Stasiun Pengisian Bulk Elpiji (SPBE) in Cimuning, Mustikajaya, Bekasi City is in ruins following a fire on Wednesday evening (1/4/2026). Based on observations by Kompas.com, the SPBE Cimuning fence appears blackened due to the fire. Police lines are also visible in front of the gate. Roads in the SPBE area are filled with scattered debris, making the scene appear chaotic. Not only the SPBE area, but several kiosks and houses nearby also suffered damage from the explosion and fire, given their proximity to the incident site. The condition of the kiosks and rented houses appears severely damaged. Building roofs have collapsed, leaving only blackened walls. In one house, a motorcycle parked in the living room was also seen completely scorched due to the fire’s impact. Meanwhile, the situation around the fire site is still crowded with residents gathering near the SPBE Cimuning. Several residents were seen starting to approach the location to check the condition of their affected houses and kiosks. In addition, some residents appeared to be capturing moments at the fire site to share on social media. Some houses look in ruins and leave nothing behind, with chairs to electronic equipment scorched by the fire. Previously reported, the Stasiun Pengisian Bulk Elpiji (SPBE) caught fire and exploded in Cimuning, Mustikajaya Subdistrict, Bekasi City, West Java, on Wednesday evening (1/4/2026). The fire then spread to the residents’ settlement, with the affected area reaching hundreds of metres.
