The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has revealed that the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, is affiliated with the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG), also known as MBG kitchens.

Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, Director of Investigation for the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, explained that the MBG programme should ideally be managed by foundations affiliated with recipient schools. However, he noted that many MBG kitchens passed the verification process because they were linked to high-ranking BGN officials, despite these foundations failing to meet the necessary requirements to become SPPG or MBG kitchen partners.

“However, they were still appointed through the manipulation of the verification process on the BGD partner portal, driven by the intervention of the suspects,” Syarief stated during a press conference on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.

He explained that the scheme was carried out by Dadan alongside two former Deputy Heads of the BGN, Sony Sanjaya and Lodewyk Pusung. In exchange for their intervention, the foundations affiliated with the perpetrators received daily incentives amounting to billions of rupiah. “The foundations received billions of rupiah in incentives every day, and these foundations are affiliated with, among others, Mr DH, Mr SS, and Mr LP,” he clarified.

As a result of these actions, Syarief stated that state financial losses have occurred. The three individuals have been officially named suspects and have been detained at the Salemba Detention Centre under the jurisdiction of the Attorney General’s Office and the South Jakarta District Attorney’s Office.

According to investigators, the former BGN Head and his two deputies allegedly exploited the development of the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) through foundations linked to them. The suspects were officially designated following a series of interrogations on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.

“After a series of examinations of Mr DH, AA, and LP as witnesses, and upon finding sufficient evidence, investigators have named them suspects,” said Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi. He further explained that investigators discovered evidence of manipulation within the SPPG development verification process on the BGN portal, allegedly conducted under the direction of the suspects.
