SBY set to attend 'Nuzulul Qur'an'

JAKARTA: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to attend a gathering on Thursday evening to celebrate Nuzulul Qur'an (Koranic revelation) in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.

Based on the schedule, Susilo will be accompanied by his wife Kristiani Herrawati at the event to be held at Sabilah Muhtadin Grand Mosque in Banjarmasin. They will arrive at around 2:40 p.m.

Before attending the event, the President will host a fast-breaking gathering with poor people at the mosque.

The celebration will feature two Koranic readings by prize- winning recitalists Ahmad Bughdadi and Siti Raudhah.

The President is slated to fly home on Friday and arrive in Jakarta at around 11:20 a.m. --Antara
