SBY Attends Halalbihalal at the Palace, Greeted Directly by Prabowo

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Indonesia’s sixth president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), attended a halalbihalal gathering with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Saturday (21/3/2026). SBY arrived around 3:30 p.m. WIB with his family, including his sons Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono. They coordinated their outfits in cream tones. As they walked into Merdeka Palace, Prabowo and SBY conversed with each other. Inside the palace, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, along with his wife Selvi Ananda and their children, was present and welcomed the arrival of SBY’s extended family. Prabowo’s son, Didit Hediprasetyo, also joined in greeting the entourage in the palace courtyard. The meeting between the two figures took place privately. Previously, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi had stated that two former presidents were reported to attend the halalbihalal at the palace with President Prabowo. Those two former presidents were Indonesia’s sixth president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and seventh president Joko Widodo (Jokowi). “Yes, we just received information regarding the attendance of Mr President SBY and Mr President Jokowi,” Prasetyo said at the palace complex in Jakarta on Saturday. “For now, no information for today yet,” he added. “But as we know, a few days ago there was also a silaturahmi meeting between Mrs Megawati Soekarnoputri and Mr Prabowo Subianto at Merdeka Palace,” he said.
