SBY and Family Visit Prabowo at the Palace During Eid

Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) visited President Prabowo Subianto on the first day of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, Saturday, 21 March 2026. The sixth president brought his children, son-in-law, and grandchildren to the halalbihalal event held at the Presidential Palace in Central Jakarta.

Prabowo immediately welcomed the arrival of his colleague from their time at the Magelang Military Academy. SBY’s two children, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono and Deputy Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono or Ibas, were seen following SBY from behind. The family wore matching cream-coloured attire.

Meanwhile, Prabowo was seen wearing a light blue koko shirt complete with a presidential pin. The President wore a black peci on his head.

SBY and Prabowo appeared to converse with each other while walking on the palace veranda. Prabowo also shook SBY’s hand several times during their chat.

During the reception of SBY, Prabowo was accompanied by his son, Didit Hediprasetyo. Officials in Prabowo’s cabinet were also present, including Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Previously, Prabowo attended an open house or griya exhibition at the Presidential Palace. The event was attended by thousands of residents who had queued to enter the palace since the morning.

Prabowo briefly greeted the arriving guests. The silaturahmi event took place in a large tent set up in the palace gardens.
