Jakarta, TopBusiness – PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (Pertamina Drilling) has received an award at the OPTIMUS Award 2025 & Kick Off 2026 event held in Jakarta on Thursday (30/4).
In the event, Pertamina Drilling was awarded in the Exceeding KPI Target Stretch category. This recognition was given for the company’s success in recording significant operational efficiencies throughout 2025.
During the evaluation period, this subsidiary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), the Upstream Subholding of Pertamina, managed to book savings of USD 12.8 million through 21 strategic initiatives.
Pertamina Drilling’s President Director, Avep Disasmita, stated that this achievement is inseparable from the implementation of the OPTIMUS (Optimization Upstream) programme, which drives overall efficiency across various operational lines.
“Through OPTIMUS, we emphasise efficiency from the technology side, procurement integration, to the utilisation of shared facilities. This becomes part of a more adaptive and innovative work culture,” Avep said in an official statement.
He added that these efficiency efforts were carried out while maintaining aspects of health, occupational safety, security, and the environment (HSSE), as well as ensuring equipment integrity and reliability.
Meanwhile, Pertamina Drilling’s General Services Manager and TCO Coordinator for OPTIMUS Pertamina Drilling 2025, Dodik Prasetyo, noted that this year’s achievement exceeded the targets set by the company.
“Pertamina Drilling’s OPTIMUS achievement in 2025 is quite impressive, exceeding the stretch KPI. Pertamina Drilling also recorded 21 Project Charter initiatives, a threefold increase compared to 2024,” Dodik said.
OPTIMUS is a programme developed by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi to optimise operational costs and enhance efficiency in upstream oil and gas activities. The programme also aims to maintain operational sustainability while strengthening the company’s investment capacity.
In addition to focusing on cost efficiency, OPTIMUS promotes a culture of collaboration, process optimisation, and the utilisation of technology within Pertamina’s Upstream Subholding environment.
The OPTIMUS Award is an annual event held as a form of appreciation for entities assessed to have successfully delivered real and sustainable efficiencies, contributing to operational transformation in the national energy sector.
