Save Stork Building, says heritage body

MEDAN, North Sumatra: The Sumatra Heritage Body (BWS) demanded on
Thursday that the local administration stop the ongoing
demolition of heritage buildings in Medan, including the Stork
Building on Jl. Kesawan.

The five-story Stork Building was built in 1925. BWS executive
director Soehardi Martono said 90 percent of the Stork Building
had been demolished. A shopping center will be built in its
place. -- JP
