Saudi security officers arrest violators of Hajj rules
Mina (ANTARA) – Security patrols in Makkah arrested four Indian and Bangladeshi nationals in connection with a scheme involving fraud and embezzlement through publishing fake advertisements and misleading information about Hajj services on social media platforms. Authorities seized cards, documents and counterfeit tools used in the scheme. The suspects have been arrested, processed legally, and handed over to the Public Prosecution. Meanwhile, Hajj security officers also arrested five Turkish nationals for violating Hajj regulations and guidelines by attempting to enter and reside in Makkah via village roads and valleys without obtaining Hajj permission. As a result, Saudi authorities have taken legal action against them. Authorities urged the public to comply with the rules governing the 1447 Hijri Hajj season (2026 CE) and to cooperate with the relevant authorities to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims. They also stressed that violators will face legal sanctions. In addition, the public is asked to report violations by contacting 911 in the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province regions, and 999 in other areas of Saudi Arabia.
