Riyadh — Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, representing Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, attended a virtual meeting with leaders of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states on Monday, 9 March.

The meeting was also attended by leaders from Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, and Armenia, as well as the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission.

The meeting discussed recent attacks targeting several countries, which have had impacts on civilians, vital infrastructure, and diplomatic missions.

The discussions also focused on collaborative efforts to enhance regional and international security and stability, protect civilians, fully respect international law and humanitarian law, and uphold the principles of the UN Charter.

The meeting was also attended by Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister for International Multilateral Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, Director-General of the General Department for Asian Affairs Nasser Al-Ghannoum, and Director of the European Union Department Talal Al-Anzi.
