Saudi Arabia's Aircraft Maintenance Business Absorbs Garuda Indonesia Group's Human Resources
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Garuda Daya Pratama Sejahtera (GDPS), a business affiliate of Garuda Indonesia Group in the field of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), has once again assigned Indonesian professional personnel to support the aircraft maintenance business or maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) in Saudi Arabia.
On 11 April 2026, GDPS dispatched 10 high-skilled workers as cabin technicians to support the aircraft maintenance project in the country. Previously, on 2-3 February 2026, the company had also dispatched 12 professional personnel for the same project.
“This is not just about deploying workers, but about how Indonesian human resources demonstrate quality, discipline, and professionalism so that this trust is given again,” said GDPS President Director Cornelis Radjawane in an official statement on Friday (8/5/2026).
With this addition, a total of 22 Indonesian professionals have been dispatched by GDPS to support the aircraft maintenance project in Saudi Arabia.
The continuity of assignments on the same project is said to reflect increasing trust from international partners in the quality of Indonesian professional personnel in the aviation sector.
According to the company, Indonesian professionals are assessed as capable of maintaining work quality according to the needs of international partners, while demonstrating the competence and professionalism of the workforce prepared by GDPS in supporting the global aviation industry.
He assessed that the adaptive, friendly, and hardworking character of Indonesian workers becomes an added value in the eyes of global employers.
“The professionals dispatched have undergone a selection and preparation process according to project needs and international industry standards,” said Cornelis.
According to him, experience in international projects also becomes part of efforts to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources.
In addition to providing global work experience for professionals, the assignment is expected to have a positive impact on the development of the national industry.
